Mehmed Talaat Pasha was Turkish Interior Minister during World War I. With Ismail Enver Pasha and Djemal Pasha, Talaat completed the triumvirate that ruled Turkey during the war.

He was one of the primary advocates of the Turkish genocide of its Armenian citizens.

He was assassinated in Berlin on March 15, 1921
